Welcome! As you plan your trip to Harpeth Valley Farm, we thought it would be helpful to provide a little information for planning your stay. One of the greatest advantages of this property is privacy and plenty of opportunities to enjoy nature. This is a secluded place to unplug, relax and unwind! So, if you plan a few parts of your stay in advance, it will greatly improve your time here.
IN-HOUSE AMMENITIES:
• 3 televisions with basic DirecTV service and a dvd player
• Washer and dryer
• Hair dryer
• Iron
• WIFI is available throughout the home, although it can be intermittant at times due to our location.
• Cellular service for Verizon and AT&T is very good in the area.
• Children welcome!
• Pet are not allowed on the property at any time.
• We are a smoke free home
• Bring BUG SPRAY and SUNSCREEN – they are both a necessity!
Appliances Available:
There is a gas grill, coffee pot, Keurig, toaster, mixer, blender, crock pot, and griddle available for your cooking pleasure. We have two refrigerators with freezers for your use. And we have a drinking water system so you don’t have to bring bottled water
FOOD:
If you want to eat it, bring it with you! Grocery stores and restaurants are approximately 20 minutes from the property, so you will want to bring all your food and grocery items with you when you come onsite. Currently, no food delivery services are available.
Groceries: If you are coming from Nashville, there is a large Publix at the Bellevue/Newsom Station exit from I-40. From west of Nashville, there is a Lawrence Grocery Story at the Kingston Springs exit from I-40.
OUTDOOR EXPERIENCES NEARBY:
Hiking:
You can drive or walk down to the parking area for the Narrows of the Harpeth State Park. From there, you can access 3 short hikes: one up the bluff, one to the tunnel area waterfall, and one around the ridge.
River Activities:
Canoe Rentals close to the property are a great way to experience the Narrows of the Harpeth. Foggy Bottom Rentals, Canoe Music City and Tip-A-Canoe are great options within 4 miles of the property. You need to book this in advance of your stay.
You can also bring your own canoes and kayaks with you to enjoy the river. There is a place to put them into the river at the Narrows of the Harpeth State Park. This is a 5 mile river loop with the exit a quarter-mile from the state park to retrieve your vehicle.
Golf: Montgomery Bell State Park is about 30 minutes away. It has a public course, and you can call ahead to schedule a tee time.
