House Instructions

Welcome! One of the greatest advantages of this property is privacy and plenty of opportunities to enjoy nature.  This is a secluded place to unplug, relax and unwind!

Parking: park all cars next to house or in the driveway next to garage. Keep all vehicles at the top of the property and please do not drive down the hill to the barns – the driveway is not available for guest access.

Door Access: You will receive a code by text to unlock the driveway side door to the house. Use this to open the home. When you wish to lock the door from the outside, pull the door completely closed and push the CHECK MARK BUTTON - √. Check the handle to be sure it is locked. You can also enter your code to lock the door.

Shoes: Please remove your shoes when you enter the cottage and store them in the entryway lockers to help us keep the home clean!

Ceiling Fans:  There are remote controls in the bedrooms that operate the lights and ceiling fans.  If the wall switches do not turn them on, the remotes will operate them.

Trash: The kitchen trash can is located in the island.  There is a large green trash can for full bags located on the edge of the driveway. Please do not roll this can to the house to keep critters away from the house!

Water: Please get all drinking and cooking water from the Culligan faucet at the sink.  Water and ice in the refrigerator is also filtered for drinking.

Toilets:  We are on a septic system, so toilet paper is the only product that can be flushed.  Please place all wipes and feminine hygiene products in the trash can.

Televisions:  There are notecards located in each room that give instructions on the operation of each television.  One remote powers the television, the other operates the cable box.  There is also a list of channels available.  You are welcome to watch any recorded movies in the DirecTV menu, but you will be responsible for any purchases of movies or shows.

SMOKING AND PETS ARE NOT PERMITTED

Pool: The pool and various floats are available for your use.  Please be diligent in locking the doors when children are present to keep them from accessing the pool without adult supervision.  Keep a close eye at all times on children when they are outside to keep them from wandering to the water.

Property Access:

You are welcome to hike on the driveway out to the main road.  You can also hike down the gravel drive to the barns.  There is a wooded trail access down by the barns that you can hike.  At times, vehicles use this road to access their fields so watch for that!  Please stay only on the path because we only have the right to access the road – we do not own the wooded property.

You can walk the bottom field’s perimeter path as well. We’ve outlined the property lines on the map, but you can see the path created from the bottom of the barns around the edge of the field.  We have a farmer that grows hay in the fields, and we do not want to damage his crop.  You can also walk inside the fenced areas behind the pool and barns.

The woods and additional fields are owned by other families in the area.  To respect their property and privacy, we ask that you stick to the driveways, roads and outlined boundaries. If you are unsure of the field boundaries, just text us and we will walk you through it!
